Bray and Greystones

Time to hit the coastline!

There's a light rail service called DART that goes along the coastline of Dublin Bay.  We walked (15 minutes) to the Sandymount station and 1/2 hour later, we arrived at the seaside resort of Bray.  The weather was terrific and sunny and we walked along the strand (seaside walking path).  Not many people--I guess it's off-season.

Our activity of the day was to walk from Bray to Greystones, another seaside resort town, about 5 km along a cliff walk.

And what a wonderful walk it was.  We saw many views of beautiful clouds, jagged rocks and old walls in the cliff (must have been fortifications).

Lunch was at the Happy Pear vegetarian restaurant in Greystones recommended by a local we met on the path.  A perfect day!

  2. Leave it to you to find these interesting walks and places. Stunning scenery and what a delight to go when all the tourists have left. I wish we could have joined you at the Happy Pear restaurant.
